Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is a tax-free benefit to help with extra costs you may have because you're disabled. It is not 'means tested'. For people who are of working age DLA is due to be replaced in 2013 with Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

Disabled people working together to campaign for responsible reform. Spartacus shows that the Government broke its own code of consultation over the DLA reform. The Government has entirely misrepresented the views submitted as part of the consultation, giving a partial and biased view.
