We had a few rumbles of thunder yesterday too, and then the type of heavy shower that my dad calls 'stair rods'!

Today is forecast to have no rain at all in it, which is a delightful change before the next band of low pressure inflicts itself on us >do you need a umbrella<

After yesterday's brief thunder storm, all of 20 minutes, this morning is fine and bright at about 16c with very little breeze. ok!

Yesterday was lovely - bright and sunny without being oppresively hot (temperatures climbing no higher than 17⁰C), but with lots of cirrus creeping in during the late morning.

Today, the change is here, and a grey, pearly morning has given way to steady rain.

It's another beautiful morning out there - dry, still and cool with a sky decorated in splodgy altocumulus, stained in various shades of gold and peach.

'Splodgy altocumulus' - I love it  >biggrin<

Just rain, rain and more rain here, and nippy too with a northerly wind - am wearing a sleeved top and a bodywarmer, and almost tempted to whack on the central heating  >yikes<

Rained and rained then rained so more yesterday. I also thought maybe put the central heating on.

Today is dryer and grey skies, I hope it does not make me feel too drab.

Rain? What's that? None on the Sunshine Coast in Sussex!  Maybe a little shower at 2 a.m. but that don't count!

 >lol< could just as easily apply to England!

Rain did actually cease and desist come mid-afternoon, and I've loaded the washing machine in readiness for a dry day tomorrow  >x-fingers<

This morning is fine and bright, but not particularly warm, at 16c and a cool breeze. Still better than the last couple of days.

Forecast fair for the weekend. Not so good for next week when our local VI group hope to have a picnic Tuesday. Maybe a wellies and pac-a-mac day.

Years ago a local drinks firm ran a series of billboard advertisments that took the form of spoof information posters explaining to locals what sunlight was and how to cope with it.  They were good fun.

Speaking of sunlight, after a soft grey morning the sun has finally broken through.

Rain is forecast for tomorrow.

It's grey damp and mizzly at the moment, but will apparently brighten up later on.

Started bright, but has got greyer. Supposed to be the other way round. Mild, at 19c.
