I had a young man who was a physiotherapist. Very nice and polite asked me is I wanted to see what was being written listened to what I had to say. Done a little physical which I could only do with my left side.
Did keep apologise for asking so many questions.
When he finished he said it is obvious you have a long term condition. Plus he said the  dwp like to keep check so may ask for another assessment in the future.
He was here for about an hour.
Apparently because of everything thing I had sent with my form that is why they decided on home visit.
Waiting game now. Said could be up to 6 weeks before I hear. It wasnít very long from when I sent Form back to assessment date so I am hoping it wonít be that long.
Hopefully the news will be good news when I get it.
When should I ask for a copy of the report?

Forgot to add I found this a lot less stressful than ESA one.
Do they back date money if you get it? Or does it start from when they make the decision?
Thankyou for all of your support

I would be inclined to wait for the decision first - and any award will be backdated to the date you first applied for the benefit.  Glad you had a pleasant-mannered assessor!

Hi Bub
He will send a report to the DWP who will look at it and make the decision,  this is the bit that takes 6 weeks, once you get the decision if its a bad decision you would ask for the report then.

At least that part is over

At least it wonít be long now to find out my fate.
I meant to say that I did also give him a copy of a letter I received last Saturday from one of my consultants with results of my X-ray for hands and feet saying that they had deteriorated considerably in a short time. So that came in handy.

I donít expect to get it as I know people who are worst than me didnt get it.
It doesnít matter how nice they were. At least I was treated with respect regardless of outcome

I wouldn't necessarily go on what other people's awards are. There is a variation of awards depending on who the DWP decision maker is. I know this because the DWP representative who attended my DLA tribunal said so. He said my previous award was incorrect and that their decision maker had decided I should receive the highest DLA care award. Which when questioned by the judge, the DWP admitted that their decision maker had made an error. So let's hope you get a nice decision maker! I think they've gone to a lot of trouble to see you at home given your evidence and I'd be very surprised if you weren't given an award anyway. I tend to think the worst myself too though. That way things can't be any worse than you expect so you protect yourself from any disappointment. It's a defence mechanism that I use all the time.
