What have you had to eat today?
« on: August 29, 2012, 08:05:06 PM »
Strawberry yoghurt for breakfast.

Cheese and tomatoes on wholemeal toast for lunch.

Home -made tomato and vegetable sauce and pasta for supper.

Then a Magnum.  Will probably have an apple before bed.

Lots of coffee with skimmed milk.

Apart from the Magnum it all seems to be very healthy.   >yikes<

Instant noodles for dinner, with a strawberry ribena.
Roast chicken in onion gravy with potatoes for tea, a cadbury's caramel nibbles corner for pudding, with prune juice.
I'll have some fruit for supper in a couple of hours.

Er, some muesli and a weightwaters lemon yoghurt for breakfast. Beans on toast with veggie bacon and grated cheese for lunch. Snacks have been a nectarine, a Blue Riband, a Breakaway, two chocolate mini rolls, a bag of pickled onion Monster Munch and some brazil nuts. At the moment I'm eating half a cucumber.

One of those microwave-in-2-minutes porridge sachets for brekkers

Lunch will be:  crispbreads with low-fat houmous and cucumber, tomato and beetroot:  followed by home-made yogurt and melon

Late afternoon snack:  bowl of hi-fibre cereal

Supper:  half a tin of ratatouille and sweetcorn with fresh carrots, broccoli and cauliflower; couple of dried figs, satsuma

All sounds really healthy, right?

.....Then comes the later part of the evening and everything goes downhill  >lol<  Typical nibble menu:

Packet of 'Nik-Naks' or other savoury snack;  handful of dolly mixtures or other kids' sweets;  2 jelly and 2 marshmallow 'caterpillars';  4 fruit chews; full-size chocolate bar or chocolate-coated waffle; other chocolate item  >whistle<

As you can see, I save myself all day for naughtiness at night  >biggrin<  (but I'm still getting my 5-a-day  >angel< )

Some Crunchy Nut Bites with nuts and red fruits, and a Weightwatchers raspberry fromage frais. Monster munch, Breakaway and Blue Riband as yesterday. A couple of Quorn burgers with cheese. Some blackcurrants, an orange and a packet of fruit pastilles.

The two packs of Heinz spaghetti has turned out to be their vegetable soup.
Tesco's have made yet another mistake.
I have some tinned beans but I really had planned to have spaghetti.
That is the worst part of being dependent on online shopping. It is far from reliable.

I have been so naughty today.   >blush<

Breakfast was fine - a Dr Dukan Diet Galette.  I'm not on the diet at the moment (I'm having a little break) but I do like the Galette for breakfast still.

Then I went out for the morning with my friend Alison.  For lunch we had burger in a bun and real chips.

Then, we went back to her house where she made some fruit scones - because a neighbour (whose cat she was feeding) was on holiday in Cornwall and had sent her by post a huge container of Cornish Clotted Cream!

As Alison had said she wanted to share the cream (because  she is on a diet) and was going to make scones, I bought a pot of St. Dalfour strawberry jam.  I always try to buy St. Dalfour or Bonne Maman jam - they are more expensive but really delicous.

Those warm scones, straight out of the oven, the clotted cream and jam were out of this world.  Yummy scrummy.

I am going to have to be really good tomorrow or I will be putting back on the two stones I have just lost!  >yikes<
