Merry Christmas, everyone :-)

Just to wish you all - those posting and those reading - the very best Christmas you can have given whatever circumstances you might be in, bearing in mind many of us have current health issues among other things... Here's hoping there's some Yuletide cheer for everybody over the season - and plenty of  >chocolate<!

I have had so much from Ouchtoo over 2017 and I think others have, so I'm hoping 2018 will be as good.  Here's to another year of sharing and helping and chatting.

Happy Christmas, dear Ouchers, both frequent and infrequent posters.

Hope that everyone has had the best day possible, had a lovely day here. See you in 2018, if not before.

Sweden’s houses should be able to cope when Santa and his sleigh land on their snowy roofs this Christmas – as long as he doesn’t try to deliver too many presents in one go.

The portly Father Christmas probably weighs about 150 kg (330 lb) and his reindeer and sleigh a tonne, the Swedish construction company NCC calculated, allowing another 50 kg for gifts.

Swedish building requirements would easily handle that weight, plus 50 percent extra pressure from the force of the landing on the roof, and half a meter of snow, construction designer Thomas Lecher said
