That's two titans of their respective fields lost this week Sir Ken Dodd and now Prof Hawking :(
Sadly these things usually come in threes so who knows who's next.

I will have to admit I'm too stupid to understand 99% of what Mr Hawking said or wrote, but even I understand what a huge loss he is and what a great man he was.  RIP

Given that he was only predicted to have two years to live when first diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 1963, he's lived to an impressive age!

Steve, his scientific observations and theories go over my head too - physics was never my top subject at the best of times - but he's contributed much to those who do have some understanding (and anyone trying to find answers to our many questions about our universe).  His legacy will not be forgotten..

Is it true that God's tweeted that He's very distressed because within minutes minutes of arriving in heaven, Stephen Hawking had proved to Him that He hadn't created the universe?
