Cute to start with, but at the end, it looked like the sun got angry and swallowed them all up  >yikes<

I'm just grateful we haven't had snow and ice this side of Christmas - last year was a nightmare with skating-rink pavements and treacherous roads.  Snow is very pretty when it first falls, but when it's been hanging around for weeks, freezing and re-freezing, it's just a total nuisance  >snowman<

We 'ave an' it's kept me indoors. With luck we'll be clear of snow come the 16th when I've to get down to Glasgow for my neice's wedding.

Fingers crossed for you, JLR - I forgot you lived in sometimes not-so-bonny Scotland....

Thanks KizzyKazaer, mind you one of the benefits of being up here in the Highlands is being far away from Glasgow, home of my birth. It takes living away from Glasgow to realise just what a midden it is.

Reading about the weather 'up north' and despite a bit of a blow last night I am glad I live 'down south' near the coast.

I reckon being about halfway along its the best climate, neither too damp or too frigid.

Only slightly sorry to gloat.  >whistle<  I just had my comeuppance; as I write this its come over all dark and has started raining.  :-(

We currently have rain. Twice today we've had sun, rain for 5 minutes and then sun. When I came out of the shop this afternoon, it was a nice blue sky and raining?

Some part of the states get snow worse than the UK. They also have some of the hottest desert areas. Its a big place, with extremes of climate. Not sure where the most temperate state (climatically speaking) is, or even if they have one?

For the last couple of days (south west coast) we have had very high winds, and a mixture of rain and hail.  Pretty yucky but at least no ice yet.
