I actually feel really tense for you... if you can record it, you should.
After the home assessment from hell I am still in a very negative place about this sort of thing, and still furious.

Maybe Ouchtoo should buy some recording equipment... both the double tape type and the discreet hidden type. Then we could send it to people to use. Just an idea.

Hope it goes well Pen. >hugs<

Hi

all the best with this new assessment, just one thing - if you do decide to record it - say so openly, put the recorder in plain view and explain, while it is running, why you are recording.

Many thanks to everyone for their help and support.

Good idea about explaining the 'need' to record the assessment because of previous bullying.

I know the new care manager, Lola,  is bringing someone with her, also from social services, and hope it's not a woman known in disability circles in the borough as 'Bullying Bev', with whom I've had run ins in the past. As the nick-name suggests she's a serial bully. However, I had been informed by one of my nursing friends, Jacqui, that I can 'decline' to have someone in my home that has bullied me on previous occassions. Can anyone confirm this is the case, the last thing I want is to be 'swaping' one bully for another?

I'm not in the UK so can't answer those questions, but I wanted to say best wishes! I really hope this time you get the answer you want.

What...yes but...but..alright. Boo tells me that I'm raving again. I did not notice a difference, but I shall heed his word, nonetheless.

Pen, hope all goes well.   >hugs<
As for allowing people into your home - it is your home and you have a right to decide who can come into it.
Only exceptions are emergency services and reasonable access for your landlord or their agents (if you live in rented property)... for example, I live in a council flat & they send somebody round every 10-12 months to do a gas safety check; I'm obliged to let them in or make an appointment at another time if the first suggested time isn't convenient.  It wouldn't be reasonable for the council or anybody else to demand admittance every month.

People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost.
