Worried about Jockice
« on: June 27, 2012, 12:16:05 AM »
Jockice hasn't inspired me for at least 24 hours.  I'm very concerned.  As a disabled person, he has a lot to live up to and his friends and neighbours and most of all the people at the sports/leisure centre need to be inspired by him.  They also need to feel fully awestruck when rushing to open doors for him.

On the other hand, even by existing, he is truly an inspiration to all TABs.

I have heard that he is currently resting on top of a church spire, having climbed it without any aids or medical devices, other than his trusty parrot.

Nah, I've joined the army so that I can inspire others to become disabled just like me.

Rumour has it that Jockice did have some encouragement as he was chased up the spire by his pesky cat. Not so much inspiring but outspiring or even perspiring before expiring.  >whistle<

Notes from South Yorkshire, perhaps?  >lol<
I'm very uninspiring this week; just like most other weeks, really.  ;-)

i can understand sunnys concern and share it ...if jockice isnt out there performing perilous and exciting deeds then how are we the ordinary disabled people to be motivated  to do even basic things?

I mean I could never be a Jockice.. im not brave and noble and inspiring but his example may just lead me to brush my hair or something,

hugs jox

The spire is The Boston Stump, which seems appropriate, given that he was legless as a result of an input of various brews which he makes at home, in his potting shed at the bottom of Dingley Dell.

The cat lives underneath the shed.

This is only rumour. There is no truth in it..... allegedly.

Don't worry, Jockice. You can take a break tomorrow while I'm inspiringly gasp! travelling on shock! public transport! With only a mobility cane to fend off legion upon legion of ferocious pit bull terriers and rabid tabloid readers!! And - and - boss fights at the end of every platform, culminating in the ultimate battle against David Cameron himself before I'm permitted access to my destination!!!

That probably won't do much good. He'll overcome a deflated head and brave the streets like that, until he inspires even more people! And then his head will just reinflate, taking us back to the beginning.
