Nice warm day today for the most part but we did have an Earth Quake the other day.

I heard about the earthquake but did not feel it myself unlike the one a few years back when it felt and sounded like a train passing.

It is November now and the weather seems back on track, cold, damp and wet. We were up at the woods yesterday and it was pouring it down with rain so much so Luka kept hiding under trees and bushes.

I got Mr Sunshine to take down the door curtain we use at the back of the house in summer and put the door itself back on so the back sitting room can be warmer.

Definitely getting cooler and more autumnal.  We've been lighting the fire in the evenings at it's lovely and toasty indoors.

Light frost but fortunately no fog. Currently -1C. In fact after some light cloud it is now nice and sunny with a perfectly clear sky and no wind.

Just how a winter's day should be. >hatandscarf< >thumbsup<

No snow, just very strong winds. Lost one of the mooring ropes and the gangplank so my husband has been out making essential repairs.

We had some snow here this afternoon. The ground was very wet so it didn't lie, but the skies have cleared and temperatures are dropping fast, so it's going to be very icy tomorrow!  >hatandscarf<

Gracious!

You would certainly need to make repairs as no gang plank would maroon you!

Do you keep spare mooring ropes and gang planks?

Thanks Yvette.  We keep a good supply of ropes and the gangplank was retrieved from the canal.  A neighbour gave my husband a hand with making everything safe and it didn't take long.  One of the great things about living here is that we all tend to look out for each other and there's always someone around who can lend a hand in an emergency.
