First test worked - second not quite so simple!  I managed to delete the post but sending a warning?  Not sure about that one - is it done through the 'Moderation Centre' option because I couldn't see it  >doh<

Sorry I thought it was in the thread but when I checked I can see this is how to get there>

Click on the members avatar to go to their profile.
On the left hand side it says Summary above that there is an Actions option click that.
A small box appears with 4 options choose issue a warning.
Next you get to choose the warning level and some other options

I gave the Quietly Loud account a 5 % warning so if you do the same it will bring the warning level to the point at which premoderation is set and we can see how that works,

:-) biab

The 'Actions' option only gives me one single option, to send the member a PM.  Perhaps the other options are only enabled for the Administrator?  Unless you can give permissions to the moderators as well....

I have enabled more items for global moderators like you and Kizzy.

Issue warnings to members (we will need to decide a policy on this eg the threashold at which pre moderation beginings)

Post and edit own events on the calendar.

Manage banned list- which includes email addresses and ips.

Send forum email to members.

You can also now manage attachments and avatars.
I have enabled everything in the Moderate the board list and so you have the same permissions I do.

If both you and Hossy (when she gets here) work you way through things to see what you can do and if there is anything I missed let me know :-)

Righty-ho, I've just found two more options: 'Issue A Warning' and 'Ban This User'.  So I have increased the warning level to a maximum of 25% (increases of up to 20% only allowed in a 24-hour period, it informs me).  This has triggered 'being watched' - which shows on the user profile.  As each increment is 5%, that could equate to 1 'naughty post'.  So 5 bad posts (25%) could result in pre-moderation?  Depending on the severity of course; if we get an obvious troll, 1 post would result in an insta-ban anyway...

I've also issued a warning to the 'QuietlyLoud' account  >thumbsup<

Where would I find the banned list?  I am thinking you will be transferring over some 'names'  >whistle< ;-)

If you look below Quietly Louds avatar there is a green icon and the word watched :-)

Increments of 5% sound good  and 5 'bad' resulting in pre mod would be a good place to start. The only way we are going to know how to balance things is by experience.

Btw right now I have it set so regular members cant see that another member has been warned.

I am switching to QL and post again :-)
