Title: "hidden" salt and sugar in processed food.
Post by: lankou on 13 Jun 2019 11:52AM
I recently attended one of my regular check ups with the practice diabetes nurse. (I have type 2.) Big talking to from the nurse due to increased sugar levels and my "bad cholesterol" a little high that it should be.

I was puzzled by this until I started checking closely on the few processed/snack foods I eat.
I was shocked to find the level of sugar and salt in packet "snack" soups.
I am now checking everything VERY carefully.

and do not forget, often they use  different names for the sugar, so you can have on the list 2,3  and more different  sugars in one food
