Title: George Osborne ducks TV debate with Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson
Post by: NeuralgicNeurotic on 12 Apr 2013 11:49AM
So it looks like Osborne has no guts as well as no compassion:

'Cowardly George Osborne could have faced a rough ride as he was lined up for a TV debate with disabled campaigner Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.

But the anticipated showdown never materialised – after she was suddenly axed from the show.

And last night sources on ITV’s The Agenda claimed the former wheelchair racer, who won 11 Paralympic gold medals over five Games, got the chop because the Chancellor was scared she would attack his savage benefit cuts.

An insider said: “He did not want to be hauled over the coals on the Government’s disability changes. So she was dumped from the line-up.” '

I believe Rowan's "robustness" is reserved for, shall we say, "other" subjects.  >run<

Surely it's better to say to Gideon that History proves attacking the poorest of society provokes them to revolution!

Hi Bule

fair enough to make comments about Gideon, but his parents have not chosen a public life, so I don't think it is appropriate to speak about them, especially in such negative terms

Tanni must have been spitting feathers on that one. She'd have had him for lunch. I am quite looking forward to seeing if Andrew Marr's stroke has given him any insights - he now has left hemiparesis, same as me. I'd love to see him get stuck into Gideon Gutless.

when Andrew recovers he and Frank (the security corrrespondent who was disabled in the middle east) would make quite a team!
