Good thing there has not been a cat like that at my window I would have let it in  >yikes<

The weather here in the Midlands is cold and grey, and it has not rained yet. The willow tree has lost almost all it's leaves and I found out just how cold the soil is when I when I planted the shrub I got for my birthday. Hopefully I did not over water it because the night time chill would kill it.

Yes I'm not worried either. Maybe I'm naive but I'm pleased I'm not stressing over an unknown like I usually do!

From what I read yesterday, I think the Norway Plus sounds ideal. The only way we're linked to the EU is because we're part of the Union of trade but not under the EU laws or needing to pay money to the EU to be part of the club. The downside some leave voters might not like is we would have to accept free movement of people from the EU countries which I have no problem with it at all. I don't understand why Norway plus isn't being put forward as the best or ideal solution of a deal. But then my knowledge of politics has always been scant.

Yet again ally, someone with the same problems I have! I will think about the options if my hair gets to the stage I'm not wanting to be seen.

The day after I applied to the county council an OT called me and talked through my difficulties and from what she says I will be given more than I'd wanted. Perching stool for the kitchen because standing to wash up is so painful. She seemed to prefer a drop down seat than a chair to put in the shower but I said I'd feel safer in a chair with solid fixed arms that I could push up with. She said the drop down seats do have arms too but I still think I am going to feel safer in a chair.

The day after that a letter came. There were 2 forms to complete which made me panic which again I feel daft about as they're simple questions. The forms have to go in different directions though. The permission to share form goes to the county council and I've only given them permission to contact my GP and no one else. And the other form is a basic finance form, a more detailed form will be completed letter when officially applying for a DFG but it seems my means tested benefit is a fast tract point to be eligible to apply for a DFG. I couldn't face them until yesterday and rey want proof I receive one of a list of benefits. This form needs to be completed to my local authority who pay part of my rent with housing benefit so you would think the LA could easily discover if I'm in receipt of HB as it's them that have awarded it to me!

I live in chaos and have no clue where such a letter might be as I have several stacks of paperwork that need either filing or throwing so it could take me a while to be able to send this form off as I now have to locate a letter. Nothing is ever easy.

Oh and I'm already panicking about having a man in my house and it's months or years before any work is done.
Talk / Re: The freedom we get from having mobile phones?

I can't use a phone at all. All my life I've needed someone to use one on my behalf.  Arranging a date with a boyfriend via my parents when young wasn't good.  Having to ask a stranger passing by the public phone box to ring my husband, as I was stranded, was cringe worthy as well as difficult  When my dad had a heart attack while with me, trying to find someone to ring the ambulance service was a nightmare.  Therefore, texts on a mobile phone were a god send for those like myself. I'm listed with the emergency services via my mobile phone, so, I know I can get help if needed.  The days of embarrassment, lack of independence, my safety, and everything else,  is now sorted.  Wish it had been invented years ago.

I had no idea you had the same struggles with phones. I thought I was irrationally crazy for not even being able to call my son. I feel so much less alone now and that it's a real problem some people have.
May be triggering

I worn something from 5 years ago and it still fits, so I am proud of myself.

It was a scarf but let's look at the positive.
