Perhaps after the spectacular fall of Carillion, the government might just think a little more carefully about renewing contracts with these private sector numpties..  It's about time this sort of work was taken back 'in-house' instead of all the outsourcing!

This is as unlikely as the railways being renationalised.  The conservatives believe in private enterprise and reducing the size of the public sector.

I'm afraid that where politicians, of all flavours, are concerned decisions are based on dogma not rationality.

Oldtone and auntie - you're not telling me anything I don't already know  >erm<  Just allowing myself a shred of hope that the Carillion scandal might just be the mega-embarrassment that turns the tide - and remembering on a local level how Capita managed to screw up the administration of housing benefit to such an extent that our council did actually return to its own staff...
