Steve (and others) - you need to meet certain qualifying conditions as well, so here are those for people in receipt of income-based ESA:

Youll usually get Cold Weather Payments if you get income-related ESA and have any of the following:

a severe or enhanced disability premium
a pensioner premium
a child who is disabled
Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
a child under 5 living with you

I'm in the support group, not sure if that counts.
it would have been nice to get, but I'm not going to cry about it.  :)

Anyone in the ESA Support Group is automatically awarded the Enhanced Disability Premium, so you are entitled to the Cold Weather Payment  >thumbsup<

Very useful to know the date too as my payment hasn't landed yet.

Hi
If your in the support group your applicable amount (what they say you need) looks like this

ESA 73.10 }
SG  36.55  }  = 109.65
Disability premium 32.55
If you have PIP daily living and live alone add on another 62.45

If you get ESA SG and its 109.65 but paid as contributions based ESA you need to request an ESA3 form as it assesses the capital and will get you the additional premiums which are income related.  You must request this form if you get contributions based esa as its the only way you'll get any incoe related benefits
