Auntie,

Your situation sounds much like Mr Sunshine's Mums and she is almost back to normal now. I wish GPs surgerys would let people book appointments further ahead when the current two weeks are full up. I hope you are able to get an appointment after the New Year. I wonder if the person who clips the cats toe nails has an email address and if you wrote to them to explain the situation would they make a home visit. I can see it will take a while for you to feel able enough to take you dog out, when you do it might be worth trying a dog lead with a bungee section in it to absorb the shock of the dog pulling away sharply.

I thought, (wrongly,) it was going to be a quiet Christmas. Christmas Day I awoke to find a police car parked outside, (plus at least one other specialist unmarked car.) Still no explanation none of my neighbours know the reason.

I lent out my TENS machine for a few days to a neighbour and my wife did an emergency burns dressing for another  neighbour whose hot water bottle had exploded.
My wife also single handedly did all the catering for the village football club on Boxing day.
I nearly forgot we also repaired (with great difficulty,) repaired the storm damaged  roof  on one of out sheds. (The bruises will go away in time.)
