What is a Tree

I expect some of you have already heard about the way some councils have chopping down trees rather than managing or saving them. It looks like protestors are getting somewhere  Sheffield tree felling: More saved after deal brokered

Contractor Amey would "spend more to retain more trees", councillor Lewis Dagnall said following violent clashes.

However, campaigners say many of the trees classed as damaging or discriminatory are healthy specimens which should not be cut down.

Does anyone know what makes a tree discriminatory?

Trees
BY JOYCE KILMER
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Hello Sheffield city council

If tree roots are cracking/ breaking foot path's will it help to plant the tree's deeper so the root's will explor deeper depth's + prevent broken foot path's

I can just feel the fear... Did you have to speak it from memory as well?

Yep I did one of the scariest things I had to do as A Kid. >yikes<.  The only thing that scared me more was getting on a Bus to travel the 12 miles to Hereford and getting off at the right place and walking through town to my new School. Aged 7 and all by myself. Still have cold sweats remembering.

You did a few brave things at such tender ages, Frances!
