No food or drink is served in the auditorium, but you are welcome to bring light refreshments from other establishments such as The Cane and Able Arms and Kizzy's place (if/when it opens) for your enjoyment throughout the performance.

SashaQ, surely you are not seriously trying to breathe life into this rusted old iron lung of a thread?

You know it will only consist of people posting shopping lists and groaning about last night's TV.

Matinee Performance

On stage is a grand piano.  Sasha is wearing a black bowtie, white shirt, black dinner suit, white hair and black nailvarnish.  A Freddie Mercury Rose is in a vase on top of the piano.

Sasha plays Fauré's Pavane, with much flourish and passion for the beautiful music...   >magicfairy<

Champagne cocktails all round, I think, and ON THE HOUSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

TONIGHT ONLY

We have:

Mimosa
1:5 ratio of freshly-squeezed orange juice to Champagne. Then a splash of triple sec.

Kir Royale
A dash of creme de cassis (blackcurrant syrup), topped off with Champagne.

Bellini
The Bellini is best when made with ripe peaches. If peaches aren't in season, are they are not, now, sadly, I have used creme de peche (peach syrup). 1:4 ratio syrup to fizz

Black Velvet
4:1 ratio of Champagne to black Irish stout. Phwoarrr

Death in the Afternoon
Traditionally made from absinthe, in a 0.5:5 ratio to Champagne, you can probably substitute pastis or another anise-flavored liqueur. But I've used the real thing.

Poinsettia
1:4 ratio of triple sec to Champagne, with a splash of cranberry juice for colour.

Nelson's Blood
Named for Admiral George Nelson. 5:1 ratio of Champagne to tawny Port.

Classic Champagne Cocktail
Soak a sugar cube in bitters, drop it into a flute, fill the flute with Champagne and garnish with a twist of lemon.

Thank you Sasha.  That was a lovely performance.

I think I would like one of the Kir Royale cocktails, please Sir C.  I must say you are looking very dashing this evening.

I will now settle down, sipping my cocktail, and wait for this evenings performance.  What a lovely way to spend a Saturday evening!
