Dont worry about sounding negative or anything else, its okay. The last gp i trusted got pregnant (how dare she ;-) ) and when she went on maternity leave i was deregistered. I dont trust gps any more to be honest, though i see two regularly now i wont seek treatment for mh related stuff or hygiene problems. Im sharing so you dont feel totally alone in your experience. I do write to the gps i see, can you do that? Or do you see various gps? Could you ask at your next appointment who their nominated mh gp is, and try to see them? They might help. Take care. And remember we understand replies can take some time so dont apologise.

Bubble

how are you doing today, your assessment of result of falling in shower to me is spot on. I have done exactly what you are describing so you have my full understanding of how it feels and of the pain

I hope the pain starts to cease soon

Still the same with the pain, its burning and my pain meds dont touch that as its sort of a different pain.

I,ll see if it eases over the weekend I dont want to go to the gp,s so at the mo will try and manage it myself.  >doh<

Hi bubble,

I know that you said that you do not want to go to the GP but it sounds to me as though you really do need to talk to someone about the harassment.  The only safe way is to see a counsellor, and that request has to go through your GP.  Do get that request in as soon as possible as if can take quite a few weeks to get to the top of the list for counselling.

All you do is tell the counsellor what happened and how it made you feel.  Somehow that process makes you feel better.

Hi yes Auntycm, I feel I need counselling, the person Im seeing says he doesnt really do counselling but that is what the gp sent me for so no wonder Im confused.  I will see gp as soon as I can get there, and ask re the situation and also when I see the mh team I will say I feel I need ongoing support as Im really struggling.

Ive talked to family but obviously they worry about me and that if I dont talk about it Im not thinkng about it, as we know it dosent work like that does it. My head feels like a record playing over and over and not getting answers.

Thank you all again for the support here.  >bighugs<

Dysesthetic burning needs specialist medication as the pain is originating in the nerve fibres themselves.

I wish you all the very best in getting the support you need. >bighugs<
