I know this link has appeared in another thread but I want to have it 'indexed' here so it is easy to find.
http://research.dwp.gov.uk/asd/workingage/esa_wca/esa_wca_25012011.pdfIt does take a while for statisticians to collate data and this explains why on the first page it says,
For all new ESA Claims from 27th October 2008 to 31st May 2010, the result of the initial WCA is as follows:
• Support Group - 6%
• Work Related Activity Group -16%
• Fit for Work - 39%
• Claim closed before assessment complete - 36%
• Assessment still in progress - 3%
when we already know the stats are now different eg
http://www.dwp.gov.uk/newsroom/press-releases/2012/apr-2012/dwp042-12.shtml46 per cent of claimants were entitled to the benefit. Within this –
19 per cent of claimants were placed in the Work Related Activity Group; and
27 per cent of claimants were placed in the Support Group
There is a lot to read in the document but what I found particularly interesting is the information on pg 13, I would copy and paste it as a quote but for some reason the text wont highlight right now so maybe someone else could do it for me.
