Radio 3 is on. Whatever it is I'm not too thrilled, but I'm not really listening. I have just done the menu on board the ship, and the washing machine is on, so its hardly getting a fair listening.

You could try closing the door to the kitchen..

At the moment all is peaceful, just the cat purring beside me and the central heating boiler doing its stuff, but will be putting the TV on in a minute to listen to/half watch the final instalment of this week's 'Four In A Bed' (Channel 4) which I have just recorded. Ah, there's the sound of the DVD recorder switching itself off..

Nothing at the moment. There's a slight hum from the computer (and a very strong hum from both Lote's litter trays)but apart from that nothing.

Re The Stranglers. Great band in their day but their former singer Hugh Cornwell was the most unpleasant interviewee I've ever had. That's in a telephone interview which lasted less than five minutes before he hung up on me, apparently because I hadn't memorised his entire tour schedule before daring to speak to him.

I emailed his management afterwards, pointing out that whenever he happened to be playing Bournemouth (or wherever) was of very little interest to readers of a newspaper in Sheffield. In fact, judging by the 'crowd' he attracted to the concert, whenever he was playing Sheffield was of very little interest to readers of a newspaper in Sheffield ether. What an absolute dick. No More Heroes indeed.

Wogan. Can't think why as I find him annoying. Sometimes the music is ok, bit dull this morning.
