I loved the Cane and Able.

We used to put on a panto every year - until someone who joined the board (whose name I shall not repeat - but you know who you are), spoiled it by having a nasty swipe at all of us who loved the festive fun.  :-(

Leg, why don't you be the manager of the new Cane and Able bar? You can set all the rules, choose your own beer and snacks and entertainment - sod the breweries.

I can guarantee my undying support. As long as I am not banned before the bar opens that is.

The ThomasApp1 Memorial Library would be a crowd-puller.

I like the idea of a bar being named after ThomasApp1 (or just Thomas, as he came to be known) - for those who don't know, he was a BBC Oucher who used to run a very successful virtual pub and eaterie in the equivalent to this Cafe area (the Cane and Able), but sadly he passed away about three years ago.  He would be honoured to live on here, I'm sure!

Perhaps you would like to take on the opening of it, Sir C?  Staffing can be decided as we go, ie whoever wants to commit themselves to it ..

Father Ted: Advent Calendar (sound and picture quality not great).

As long as Father Jack's suggestion isn't included, I think we'll be ok.

I have an Advent Calendar and let my PA open the first door yesterday.  She is only just twenty and it was lovely to see her excitement at being the person to open the first door.
