The thing that gets to me about wages paid to local council workers, other civil servants eg the DWP or benefit claimants does at least tend to go into the local economy and not end up abroad. In effect this money is helping 'feed' the British economy whereas big corporations being allowed to legally avoid tax reduces tax revenue and increases teh amount of money skimming off our economy into the global economy.
