News about Access Officer
« on: 04 Aug 2014 11:17PM »
A while ago Access Officer asked if I would start posting the links he got in emails from his old job. He asked me to do this because he was finding it difficult to copy and paste the information using his tablet. Being on AO's email list has meant I was sent an email with some very difficult news in it.

Access Officer AO Rich passed away on the 24th of July and the funeral is on Friday.

I will really miss Rich and wish I had known him longer. The information he posted over the years has encouraged me and helped me to learn more about the DWP and Government. Rich was a good man who supported many people in the work he did before he retired.

As far as I know Rich did not use Facebook so we can't post on his Timeline like we did for Deb. However I might be able to find a way to send flowers to the funeral if others want to join me in doing that.

I did think maybe wait until morning to post this but it is not news I feel I should hold onto.

I was just wondering where he was the other day. My heart goes out to his family and friends.  :-(

Sending some flowers from us all would be a lovely gesture to show how much he was appreciated here.

Oh no.  What a decent man.  He did not have long enough to enjoy his retirement.

I can't get my head round this.  So soon after Deb.  The thought he won't be posting any more doesn't compute.  He'll leave a gap, like Deb did.
(I'm an obsessive problem-solver, so feel free to ignore any suggestions or solutions I offer, even if they sound terribly insistent.)

That is so sad that he died so soon after retiring. I remember how reticent he was to retire and how dedicated he was to his work. He will be very much missed. Thinking of his friends and family. RIP

Really devastating news coming so soon after Debs. Rich always came across as a kind and considerate person and his posts were always informative he will be sorely missed.

RIP Rich and condolences to his family.

That is very sad  news. He was such a kind man and I shall miss his contributions to Ouchtoo.
I support the idea to send flowers and please let me know if you need any funds to do this.

It is sad to loose another friend. I will remember him for the valuable information he used to post which proved useful to some of the members of 'my' VI group. My condolences to his family.
